The Academy was started in May 2013 by Nikki Stewart who wanted to offer something different to the traditional dance school model. With the emphasis on enjoying dance and building dance friendships in a safe environment where the child feels they can be truly themselves...... and less focus on whether the pupil's hair is in a perfect bun.

The BDA teachers are passionate, qualified and committed to delivering fun, engaging and interactive dance classes. 

 

For the past three years we have been proud to be recognised as Dance School of the Year Finalists.

 

We are growing - even during lockdown we grew! However, we remain committed to treating each child as an individual. 

 

In a normal year, we hold an Annual Show and Presentation Evening. We have multiple exam sessions throughout the year. Our pupils are invited to compete in an internal dance competition and we hold numerous dance workshops during the holidays.
