From the organisers: Our Summer Dance Festival is a brand new competition aimed at dancers with little or no festival experience who are looking to build their confidence or even enter their first competition. We aim for it to be friendly and fun and to give dancers the opportunity to share their passion for dance and performance.

The competition is primary for Novice competitors who haven’t previously been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a festival. However, if you have students who have been placed and would like to enter, please contact our organiser Faye Thomson-Butt, as we would consider running an Open section (subject to sufficient numbers).

The festival will be held in the 260 seated Centre Stage Theatre at the Crewe Campus of Cheshire College South and West. The College has amble onsite parking, changing facilities and refreshments will be made available on the day of the festival.

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, certificates will be given to those placed 4th and dancers gaining 75 marks or more. Some trophies will also be awarded on the day for solo dancers the adjudicator selects as ‘Most Promising’, ‘Best Choreography’ and other categories.
