About the event
Per The PP:
An attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest tap dance, is to be held on Sunday 18th November 2018 at hundreds of different locations across the UK, in aid of BBC Children in Need.
The Tapathon event is fast becoming a date in the annual dancing calendar. Past events have gained huge numbers of participants, involving thousands of tap dancing enthusiasts of all ages and tap dancing ability.
No matter of age or ability, the Tapathon is a great opportunity for none dancers and trained dancers to come together. A family event that has brought Parents, Grandparents, young adults and children together, to perform alongside each other.
The routines are already choreographed and can be taught at your own pace. All that is required is a whole heap of enthusiasm and support, for being a part in this great day of tap dance.
Our aim for 2018; To call on the great British public to get their tap dancing shoes on for Pudsey and help break the current world record, which currently stands at over seven and a half thousand participants, while raising funds for some of the UK’s disadvantaged children.
