Karen Tower
Karen started dancing at the age of two, winning competitions & performing professionally from a young age. She gained her ISTD Associates and ISTD Advanced in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National from Harrison College, Watford.
​
After graduating Karen performed on Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines and at the Thomson Gold Hotel in Rhodes, where she was Dance Captain. After having her two children, Karen taught fitness to celebrities such as Amanda Holden and Laura Whitmore. As well as teaching at the Academy she is currently a fitness presenter for Fitsteps, alongside Ian Waite & Natalie Lowe.

Karen joined the Academy in 2016 and has allowed it to grow from a Ballet Academy to a Dance Academy. She brings a wealth of teaching experience and has in depth knowledge of the syllabus. She continues to develop her teaching through CPD provided by the ISTD.
​
Karen has a huge fan club at the school - she has an incredible ability to bring the confidence out of the most shy child.

Nikki Stewart
Nikki is the Director of Finance and Operations for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD).
​
Nikki danced from an early age & after becoming head girl of her local dance school and completing her A Levels, she won a three-year scholarship at Italia Conti Performing Arts Academy. She chose to study Accounting & Management at Reading University instead but attended dance teachers training college between lectures. After graduating from university and becoming a chartered accountant with PwC, Nikki took some time off to travel the world.

On her return she decided to follow her passion & Bovingdon Ballet Academy was born in 2013 with just 5 pupils and two Saturday classes. During maternity with Ella, Nikki completed her Diploma in Dance Education with the ISTD in Imperial Ballet. Now, just under 10 years on, the Academy has blossomed into a successful and thriving school with over 275 pupils and 40 classes.

Syanne Day
Syanne trained at English National Ballet School and Elmhurst Ballet School, graduating in 2015 with a Diploma in Professional Dance. Syanne’s professional career began with English National Ballet, performing in their touring production of Swan Lake, followed by their Swan Lake in-the-round production at the Royal Albert Hall.
Syanne joined Cork City Ballet in 2019 for a season and afterwards joined Let’s All Dance for their tour of The Nutcracker, where she performed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy. She has since worked with the company again for two tours of the Sleeping Beauty, performing as the Lilac Fairy and two more tours of The Nutcracker.
Syanne has also ventured into contemporary work with Mercurial Dance, who she worked with in 2018 for site specific performances in Birmingham and Coventry. Syanne joined the Connecting Stars project with Constella OperaBallet at the start of 2022, which delivers live virtual performances to care homes around the UK and Ireland.
Syanne also studied at Middlesex University and has a BA in Professional Practice. She is a qualified personal trainer and started her own online business in 2020 called DanceWithSyanne, where she teaches weekly dance and fitness classes for adults. Classes range from Adult Ballet to Stretch/Tone/Relax classes as well as dance inspired HIIT workouts.

Amy Goodiwn

Amy has taught and held workshops at many dance schools and academies across the UK and Internationally. Some of these include Laine Theatre Arts Junior School, Cardwell Theatre School, Pauline Quirke Academy (PQA), Bishops Yard School of Dance (BYSD), Pearl Shaw School of Performing Arts, Echo Studios, RMS Stage Academy and Five Towns Academy. She is co -founder/ Vice Principal of YSBD Theatre Academy in Cheshire where she has choreographed and directed some of their show productions including choreographing the original production of Sleeping Beauty the Musical Junior. She also teaches Adult Musical Theatre classes and 1-2-1 singing lessons as well as directing and choreographing Summer shows for Primary schools in Cheshire.
She has also co written a variety of shows for Jammy Shows And Productions Ltd. Walking in a Winter Wonderland was shown onboard Tallink Romantica.
