ACRODANCE
AcroDance is a dynamic and exciting fusion of classical dance technique and acrobatic skills, combining strength, flexibility, balance, and control with beautiful dance movement. This style is incredibly popular with dancers who love to challenge themselves physically while still performing with grace and confidence.

In AcroDance classes, dancers develop:
-
Core strength, upper body strength, and flexibility
-
Balance, coordination, and control
-
Safe and correct technique for acrobatic skills
-
Confidence, focus, and body awareness
-
Seamless transitions between dance and acro movement
Skills such as walkovers, cartwheels, handstands, aerial preparation, balances, and partnered work are taught progressively, ensuring dancers are physically ready at each stage before moving on to more advanced tricks.
At BDA, we proudly follow the renowned Acrobatic Arts syllabus, which is internationally recognised for its safe, structured, and progressive approach to AcroDance training. Our dancers work towards examinations within this syllabus, which ensures:
-
Safe progressions toward higher-level skills
-
Strong technical foundations
-
Injury prevention through correct preparation and conditioning
-
Clear goals and measurable progress
This structured approach allows dancers to build confidence and ability in a safe, supportive environment, giving parents complete reassurance that their child’s physical development is being carefully and professionally guided.
AcroDance is a fantastic complement to all other dance styles, helping dancers become stronger, more athletic, and more versatile performers — while having loads of fun along the way.
